Scott’s career in sports therapy and osteopathy started on the basketball court when he was selected for a college team after high school. Unfortunately, recurring knee injuries brought him into regular contact with the team physio.
While this wasn’t ideal for a career on the court, the injury rehabilitation introduced Scott to sports therapy. During his sports therapy course, Scott got the chance to work for Nottingham ice hockey team the Panthers under the guidance of their lead physio.
He was offered the job full-time at the end of the six-week stint and stayed with the team for 14 years, eventually taking the lead role and developing the medical department. Scott then expanded on this practical experience across different fields with a degree in osteopathy.
After some time working as a sole trader, Scott established Excel Therapy in early 2019. He is passionate about sharing knowledge across disciplines and encourages a mix of therapy approaches in the clinic for unique individual treatments.
